I'm Coming up for air!

I realize that I have serious communication problems! I may not do very well on here after all. I'm better at keeping the blogs up for the kids.

Our sweet Grandma Gerry passed away last week. April 5- I was so sad not to be able to go to her funeral. I was just too sick- Shane really had to talk me out of going. I'm going to post more about Grandma Gerry on the blog I have with Cheyanne.

I survived Springbreak! It worked out well that Shane gets off early and would go do things with Chey and Chandler. They didn't feel too neglected.

My head is just clearing up enough that I can do some more digital scrapbooking. So I'm posting some of them.

SPRINGBREAK IS HERE...

YES-IT IS! It should be called- DRIVE MOM CRAZY WEEK! Chey and Chandler would love to be on a fabulous trip like so many of their other classmates. When you are in school, there is an expectation of going somewhere and Chandler is just positive that he is not suppose to do any jobs! Well, the Petersen's are not going anywhere. I am a pro at finding things to do that do not cost money. Sadly, the kids only want to do things that do cost money. Luckily, I am more clever than they are!

Chandler and Chey are so lucky that their mom-for the most part is confined to the home until mom can make sure she is able to breathe wherever we go. Breathing is essential to living! So, we do what we can. In the mean time, Chandler will probably earn every award possible for a Wolf Cub Scout, and Cheyanne is working on earning her 2nd Personal Progress medallion. Poor kids! Their mom just won't leave them alone. Actually, they are loving it!

Today we are going bowling! (Guess what-it is an elective for a Wolf) Chandler wants to get a score over 100. He wants to beat Jessie score. He says she has either 99 or 98. Watch out Jessie!

Cheyanne is at the dentist. Brother Bills, our dentist and Shane's 1st Counselor in the High Priest group, keeps warning Shane he's going to have to beat those boys off! I'm sure it is coming up!

Cheyanne and I have started a blog together. We are going to work through the Personal Progress book together and keep a blog of our experiences. So, I am working on my "Knowledge" value project. It was to learn how to create a "CUTE" blog. Holy Smokes! I have probably spent 10 hours alone since yeasterday trying to figure it out. I stayed up late-which I never do- got up early and then finally had to shove my laptop away and say ENOUGH! Okay, so I'm now blogging on my very cute blog! Hard work pays off! Jessie will be so proud of me! Huh Jessie?!!

Conference Weekend

I'm loving conference weekend! It is always wonderful to hear our Prophet speak. It has become tradition for the kids to draw on Colten! Silly, but it keeps them in the same room. Chris and Jessie are visiting with Jessie's family in Evanston. We miss them!

Spring is Here!

Well, here is our families first post. March has been a crazy month for weather! One day it is sunny, the next it is snowing.

Jesse has inspired me to do this blog. Be sure to check out their blog also! chrisandjessiepetersen.blogspot.com

My health hasn't been very good since Feb 18. At New Beginnings for Young Women they used a fog machine to represent the mist of darkness. I had a really bad reaction. Bishop Mortenson saved life by coming out of the church to my rescue! He got me home. Because the reaction was so bad, and because it lasted too long it lowered my immune system to where I'm having allergic reactions to the smallest exposures. I havn't been able to go to work at Sugar 'n Spice since then. I was pretty down about that, but I am learning to focus on all the things that I can do instead of what I can't do. I've been pretty much confined to home since that happened. It just makes my body too sick to go out. I've also been losing my voice for about a week at a time. Makes it a bit hard to be a mom!

Well, besides all that, I have been learning to do digital scrapbooking. It has been a great thing to keep my mind off other problems!
